This year’s Christmas Fair on the Rynek Główny (until 26 December) brings another dose of festive madness! There will be eighty stalls filled with produce by Polish artisans and merchants from Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Hungary, Germany and the UK. The stage hosts the Mali Krakowiacy ensemble celebrating their 40th anniversary, as well as Ahaju Fusion from Bolivia, Jakubowe Muszelki, the carol singers Pleśnioki, the Jaszczury choir and the ensemble Sine Nomine.

Decorating Kraków for Christmas culminates on 25 November with the lighting of candles on the Christmas tree at the Main Market Square. The event coincides with the opening of the Christmas Fair. Until 26 December, the Main Market Square is filled with the sound of carols and the fragrance of spices, reminding us that Christmas is almost here. Kids can join the plans to smash the world record in writing letters to Santa, watch a procession of Santas and the Małopolska Carolling Pageant. The fair closes with the crowds coming together to sing carols by the Adam Mickiewicz statue.
