Hunter’s stew of young cabbage, apples and cured pork fat, kishka, varianka with lamb meatballs and and bryndza cheese, chanterelles and boletes with home-made cottage cheese, plum cake… If you intend to go to the Grand Finale of the Małopolska Taste Festival, make sure you do not eat anything beforehand or at least leave some room for more.

In Czernichów – NATURALLY
This year’s s festival kicked off on 12 June at the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków. The next stops, which we have already visited include Trzebinia (10 July), Bochnia (24 July), Gorlice (7 August) and Krynica-Zdrój (21 August). The organisers decided to choose Czernichów as the final stop, which is slated to take place on 11 September.
The headline of the 17th Małopolska Taste Festival is just one word – NATURALLY! As the organisers claim: “NATURALLY, Małopolska is a worthwhile place to visit. What is more, in Małopolska you can NATURALLY taste unique delicacies.” And NATURALLY Czernichów is the perfect place for the finale in the lap of nature, among green meadows, near the lazy flow of the Vistula River, in the vicinity of grazing horses.

Polan at the Commons
A symphony of flavours directed by Andrzej Polan, a culinary virtuoso, will start in Błonia Czernichowskie Meadow at noon. Together with his colleagues, he will prepare some of the best dishes of this year's festival, which you could experience at the four previous stops. Each dish must include at least one ingredient traditional and associated with Małopolska, such as Lisiecka sausage made in Czernichów and Liszki.

The programme also features:
Best Dish Contest
featuring local Housewives’ Clubs
Mobile Reading Room of the Voivodeship Public Library
Workshops for children and youth organised by the Archaeological Museum in Kraków
Animations and competitions for children organised by the Voivodeship Labour Office, whose employees will also provide information on the labour market in Polish and Ukrainian
A trivia quiz on Małopolska for the youngest attendees

Throughout the event, exhibitors from all over Małopolska will operate their stands and booths, offering honey, baked goods, cured meats, pastries and preserves.

A performance by the band Toporki will conclude the festival.
