Cut out shapes of objects or figures from the black paper. Look for inspiration to your favourite stories and their protagonists. Or, better still, come up with your own characters, animals and creatures to star in your story! Use the sticky tape to attach a kebab stick to each element.
Next, make the stage. Remove the top, bottom and one side from the box. Cut out large square rectangles from the remaining three sides. Cover the holes with the tracing paper to create semi-transparent screens. You could use greaseproof paper instead. Decorate the sides and top of the stage with your fabric.
Ready! Now it’s time to play! For the best effect, put on your performances in a dark room with a small lamp placed behind the stage.
