    Park Kościuszki

Another green meeting will start quite actively. At noon sharp we are going to meet at Kościuszko Park. We will start the day with a warm-up with the morning running support group and the Radio Krakow sports journalist, Grzegorz Bernasik. We invite people of all ages – ladies, gentlemen, parents and children – everyone can take part in our running meeting.

At the same time noon, a 4-hour educational workshop titled “What makes a hedge different from a hedgehog?” will start in Kosciuszko Park. The children and the hosts will sit together and learn, what kinds of interesting animals one can meet in the city. Moreover, they will make swifts and swallows out of paper and they will learn what makes them different, despite their similarity at first glance.

This Saturday we also have a special offer for all animal lovers. From noon to 4pm we invite everyone to a dog training workshop, conducted by dog therapists from Beethoven Dog School. You will learn about what your pets really want to say to you and what is conducive to establishing true friendship with your dog. They will also teach you how to read dog’s body language and show you some secrets about motivating dogs, along with activities on obstacle course.

Of course, there will also be some music during our next green meeting. The entire picnic will be accompanied by the Music in Green with OFF Radio Krakow. Minoo, a music producer affiliated with Asfalt Rec and Mad-Hop Rec is going to play from noon to 4pm.  To date, he has produced two albums and was featured on numerous compilations. In Radio Krakow he co-hosts the Nocny Off Radia Krakow programme and works for Off Radio Krakow as a host of Beat Tools. Next Saturday, Minoo will offer a strong dose of chillout electronic music – something for calming the spirit and the body.

Everyone in need of a moment and relaxation is invited to the “Healthy Spine” workshop, conducted from 1pm to 2pm by Soul Fitness trainers. The exercises presented by them will relieve your vertebrae, strengthen your deeper back muscles and get rid of muscle contractures by relieving tension. We promise that you will notice first effects of the activities right after the Saturday workshop.

On Saturday evening we will meet in open air in order to combine the pleasure of staying outside with the joy of reading books. The Księgarnia Pod Globusem bookstore invites to a special instalment of their “Fairy Tales – workshop in the park”. From 1pm to 3pm you will be able to take part in the meeting titled “Where do books come from?” Together, we will answer some questions: Where does the idea for a book come from, who is a writer, how does a book get to a bookstore, what does the work of a bookseller look like? Children will also enter the role of a book creator and will prepare some of its elements. The workshop will begin from reading of a moving and wise story About a boy who fell into a book.

At the same time, we encourage you to take part in the “Reading in a glade”, conducted by Olga Świderska, a psychologist and author of the “Coaching Fairytales” series. She invites everyone – young readers and their parents – to join the fun, as the meeting will not only be about reading itself, but about interactive reading.

At 3pm we want to invite to an hour-long walk around the Kościuszko Park with Przemek Szwałko, during which we will learn the secrets of a riparian forest, which is a habitat for many protected, rare and endangered species of plants, fungi and animals.

We also encourage you to participate in other instalments of the project – over the course of the upcoming weeks, every Saturday until the end of summer months (with the exception of the 30th of July) we will play in the shade of the trees in one of Krakow’s parks. We will meet in Krakow Park, Jordan Park, Bednarski Park and Jerzmanowski Park.

During the picnics, we will be accompanied by Radio Krakow, providing reports from all events in the Krakow Parks.
