A few days before WYD on the grounds in front of the Saint John Paul II Sanctuary dance groups from all over the world will perform in a program under the theme: “Shine Your Light.”

This meeting will be religious-artistic in nature, during which concerts, workshops, and dance performances will take place. Participation in the event is free. “Shine Your Light” will begin 20 July and will end with a dance performance on 23 July.

“The events are directed at WYD volunteers who come and participate in workshops at the Saint John Paul II Sanctuary, residents of Małopolska, and especially youth and everyone else who wants to participate in this event,” says Łukasz Kozub from the team for Project Implementation of the Marshal’s Office of Małopolska Voivodship.
During the event, we will also see groups performing in the framework of International Folk Meetings Małopolska.

“These will be groups from Poland, Brazil, Indonesia, Costa Rica, and Pakistan. Beyond this, a dance group under the guidance of Andrzej Starowicz that has performed two dance shows: “Secret Garden” and “Drugie Dno,” will also perform. The outdoor dance workshops will be led by Andrzej Starowicz,” adds Łukasz Kozub.
The event is organized by Małopolska Voivodship together with Intercultural Dialogue Institute of John Paul II, the John Paul II Sanctuary, as well as the WYD Local Organizing Committee.
