Evening with Animation
We have great news for all fans of animation! Between 3 and 6 August, the Szczepański Square hosts the 9th Krakow Summer Animation Days, organised by the ETIUDA&ANIMA Foundation and the Krakow Festival Office. During the four evenings, we will see the finest animations of recent years from countries including Canada, South Korea, Germany, Argentina, France, Russia, Slovenia, Estonia, Poland and Switzerland. There will be plenty of short films awarded at numerous international festivals. The programme also features the latest feature-length animations, including My Life as a Courgette (dir. Claude Barras) telling the story of a difficult childhood, and Louise by the Shore (dir. Jean-François Laguionie) – a moving tale of old age and friendship between an elderly woman and her dog. As usual, the screenings are accompanied by workshops for children, fun with pixellation and a cycle of films for the youngest viewers. (Justyna Skalska, "Karnet" magazine)
